Opinion & Order that Ameritech shall credit service charges to its customers in an amount not less than $603,882 for improperly claimed weather-related exceptions; that Ameritech shall waive not less than $3,495,353 for nonrecurring installation charges for Centrex and multiline service customers; that Ameritech shall waive not less than $185,639 in nonrecurring installation charges for missed installation appointments and credit service charges not less than $814,050 for missed appointments or commitments; that Ameritech file a report by August 17, 2000, detailing the customers that can be identified in each of these categories and to which a waiver or credit can be provided; that Ameritech shall file a report by August 17, 2000, in which it suggests one or more plans for the use of $3.65 million and the remainder of the ordered $5.1 million in credits and waivers to benefit its customers; that Ameritech file a proposal by August 17, 2000 which provides information concerning who should conduct the audit, their qualifications, the proposed scope of the audit, and timeliness of the audit; that this case shall remain open for at least 18 months following the date of this order. |
