08/12/1999 Opinion & Order that the request for two-way, nonoptional, flat-rate EAS between the Hanoverton and Salem exchanges is granted, contingent upon the conducting and filing of a canvass of the Hanoverton Exchange subscribers that demon- strates that a substantial majority is willing to pay the appropriate rates for the service and also contingent upon Ameritech obtaining appropriate authority from the FCC to carry traffic across the interLATA boundary which currently exists between the Hanoverton and Salem exchanges; that GTE provide a list of all Hanoverton exchange subscribers' names and addresses to the complainants within 15 days of this order; that the complainants canvass the Hanoverton Exchange subscribers, using the sample ballot attached and report the results to the Commission by November 12, 1999; that after the complainants have submitted the ballots collected, the respondents should review the ballots and report the results of their review to the Commission by November 26, 1999; that this case shall remain open until otherwise ordered by the Commission.
